Christmas is just around the corner. We are looking forward to this special time of the year. And we would like to do it together with you. That’s why we have prepared the NORMA Group Advent calendar!

And this doesn’t have to be all Christmassy in the strict sense. After all, there are also people who don’t celebrate Christmas or do it in their very own way. We wish you all a pleasant and peaceful time!

The Christmas dessert in the US traditionally is pumpkin pie with whipped cream. Before the dessert, normally the Christmas turkey is served. On December 25, late at night, Santa and his reindeer bring the gifts on his sleigh.

Aren’t they nice? The team of our distribution center in Marsberg, Germany, baked those cookies for our customers and wrapped them in tins with Christmas letters.
Did you know that a cluster of galaxies called the “Norma Cluster” exists, about 220 million light-years away from the earth? Although we are obviously convinced that our products are unearthly good the name of our NORMA brand was not derived from this cluster of galaxies.
In Poland, families on Christmas traditionally eat Sernik. The cheese cake is served with or without raisins. The kids also hope to find a coin under their plate. And the gifts aren’t unwrapped until after dinner.
Throwback, Number 1: This photo shows construction works in the snowy February of 1985. Back then, the warehouse and the logistics hall at our headquarters in Maintal were built.
Jewelry is always a nice Christmas gift. Why not make jewelry from a NORMA Group clamp? That’s what Dominik Schittke thought. He made a bracelet from a Ball Zone Exhaust Clamp (SEC). It’s chic, isn’t it?
Do you like pasta? We do! This Sicilian dish is called “Pasta alla Norma”. But don’t worry: We didn’t add one of our NORMA products as a special secret ingredient.
In Mexico, the piñata is an especially important part of Christmas for children. It’s a clay pot decorated with stars and figures and filled with fruit and candy. The piñata is hung up, and the blindfolded children try smashing it with sticks to get the treats.
You want some caramel popcorn? We do! That’s why we are a part of popcorn-making in many cinemas in the US. Inside the popcorn machines, our TORRO clamps connect the lines that transport the hot oil.
At the highest summit hiking path in all of Europe in Saalbach Hinterglemm, Austria, also one of our Veryflex clamp is used. Together with the “Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps,” this summit hiking path spans one kilometer.
In Australia, the Christmas dessert is often traditional Pavlova, a cream meringue pie with delicious fresh fruit. In keeping with British tradition, gift giving also takes place on the morning of 25 December.

No, we don’t bake Christmas cookies! In our ovens in our test laboratories worldwide, we test our plastic lines – like in Changzhou, China. This makes sure that they will work long and reliable.
We are regularly asked why e.g. the butter prices have increased or decreased. That is an interesting question! However, we are afraid we cannot really answer it, because we simply do not sell butter. Or would you like to have a bread roll with “NORMA butter” for breakfast?!

In India, Christmas is an official holiday, called “bada din” (the big day) in Hindi. For the head of the family, it is a sign of special honor when, on the first day of the Christmas celebration, his family hands him a lemon, along with best wishes for happiness and success.
Welcome to Norma! Not only do we say it so, but also the people of the Italian city with the same name. There, you can also find the Garden of Ninfa, located in a former wetland south of Rome. It’s one of the most beautiful and romantic gardens in the world.
“I’m dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the ones I used to know…” Has it already snowed at your place? The thick snowflakes on the photo are plastic granules at our subsidiary NDS in California.
That’s kutja, a sweet grain dish made of wheat, honey, nuts, poppy seeds and raisins. The dessert is traditionally served on Christmas in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Poland.

What to do if you want to bake cookies just before Christmas Eve and the cookie press breaks? You repair it with a NORMA Group clamp, of course. At least that’s what our colleague Joerg Lasner did.
