NORMA Group is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. The blog series 15 Voices – 15 Countries gives 15 colleagues from 15 countries an opportunity to report on their experiences at NORMA Group and tell us how NORMA Group has developed at their location.
Tatiane Brito is Plant Controller at the NORMA Group site in Atibaia, Brazil.
Tatiane, how long have you worked with NORMA Group, and how has NORMA Group changed or developed since you started working here?
I have been working at NORMA Group for eight years. At that time, I was one of the first employees here at our site in Brazil. I helped coordinate the arrival of the machines and office equipment and was also there when we gradually hired new colleagues. Today I can proudly say: I was there at the birth of NORMA Group’s Brazilian site. Here I know every single stone, so to speak. Therefore, I am often the contact person for colleagues who are looking for something specific.
Over the past eight years, NORMA Group has continually evolved. Our site here in Atibaia has grown together with NORMA Group in terms of employees and products. Actively shaping this growth process was a unique experience for me personally that I would not have wanted to miss.
What events do you remember most from your time at NORMA Group?
I particularly remember my early days at NORMA Group. I witnessed how the Brazilian site was built up piece by piece and became the workplace it is today.
Another event I remember fondly is setting up our Lifial site in Portugal. The former owner of the site did not speak English, only Portuguese. A colleague here from Brazil therefore helped with the negotiations as a translator. That’s what’s special about NORMA Group: there are always new tasks and it never gets boring.
Another very special experience that I remember very fondly was my Bubble Assignment. As part of the assignment, I had the opportunity to work for several months at our location in Monterrey, Mexico. That time really benefitted me personally. I really appreciate that NORMA Group offers its employees this opportunity and thus promotes intercultural exchange. This exchange between the locations is so important and brings so much added value for all of us.
What do you wish for the future of NORMA Group?
I hope that we will continue to grow profitably in the future. I also hope that we will retain our great corporate culture of constant exchange and togetherness. We at NORMA Group support each other, and together we can overcome all challenges.
