NORMA Group is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. The blog series 15 Voices – 15 Countries gives 15 colleagues from 15 countries an opportunity to report on their experiences at NORMA Group and tell us how NORMA Group has developed at their location.
Shi Feng is EJT Team Leader at the NORMA Group site in Qingdao, China.
How long have you been working at NORMA Group? And how has NORMA Group changed or developed since you started working here?
I have been working at NORMA Group for over 13 years now. When I started working here at the Qingdao site in China, we were just a small joint venture with around 15 employees. We now have three production sites in China: in Qingdao, Changzhou and Wuxi. The workforce has also grown, of course, with more than 500 employees now working for NORMA Group in China.
And our product portfolio has also evolved. In the beginning, we only produced connectors. Today, we manufacture a range of other products at our Chinese sites, including TP Flex systems. We deliver our products to customers all over Asia.
What events at NORMA Group have been the most memorable for you?
I have fond memories of our annual meetings. But I also have really great memories of the many Diversity Days I have attended. I really appreciate those events. I think that’s what makes NORMA Group so special, the fact that you celebrate the diversity of the company and promote an intercultural exchange. I am already looking forward to the next Diversity Day.
What would you like to see in the future of NORMA Group?
I would like us to be able to keep pace with our competitors in the future and remain number one in the market. And I also hope that we can continue to serve the individual needs of our customers with customized solutions.
